About Us

At Scarlett’s Cat Sanctuary, we are more than just a rescue—we are a 100% volunteer-run, 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to saving the lives of cats and kittens. Every member of our West Michigan based team, from rescuers to foster families, donates their time and effort to ensure that these animals receive the love and care they deserve.
Who We Are
What We Do
Our approach is centered on pairing each cat’s unique personality and needs with the perfect family. Whether they are exceptionally friendly or shy and afraid, most of the cats that come into our foster care have been deemed by our expert team of behaviorists, animal advocates, and veterinary partners as deserving of a second chance.
These cats didn’t choose the challenging lives they were born into, but we strive to ensure that they find the loving homes they need.
In addition to providing individual care, we focus on some of the hardest rescue situations in the area.
Our efforts are dedicated to Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) and disease prevention to help reduce the extreme cat overpopulation crisis in our region. We believe in addressing these issues at their core, preventing suffering, and ensuring a brighter future for countless cats.
Scarlett’s Cat Sanctuary is foster-based, meaning that all of our cats are cared for in loving homes rather than a facility. This personalized approach allows us to give each cat the individual attention they need to thrive while they wait for their forever homes.
As a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit, all donations are tax-deductible, and we are happy to provide receipts upon request.
We rely solely on community support, as we do not receive regular funding, and grants are challenging to obtain with so many larger organizations.
Every donation, no matter the size, makes an incredible impact on the lives of the cats and kittens in our care
